Technology that makes sense -- Cypress at Sensors Expo 2016

Along with demos of our ARM®-based Flexible Microcontroller (FM), Bluetooth® Low Energy and Energy Harvesting Power Management IC (PMIC) solutions, we’ll be showcasing the newest additon to the PSoC® family, the PSoC® Analog Coprocessor! Many IoT applications require multiple sensors and can benefit from dedicated coprocessors that offload sensor processing from the host and reduce overall system power consumption. The PSoC Analog Coprocessor enables engineers to update sensor features quickly with no hardware or host processor software changes, simplifying the design of custom analog front ends for sensor interfaces and reducing BOM costs. Satish Iyer, Product Marketing Manager, MCU Business Unit, will be hosting a technical session on June 23 from 1:40 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. PDT to discuss the challenges of traditional analog design, focusing on the benefits of moving away from sensor-specific ICs and shifting circuit-intensive analog front end (AFE) designs towards PSoC. His session will explore how engineers can create complete and custom sensor hubs that combine multiple analog and digital sensors to serve the increasing sensing needs of tomorrow’s IoT applications. The session will also touch on the benefits of designing with ultra low-power, Bluetooth Smart modules and memory devices.
