Happy Programmer's Day!

So, it's international day of the programmer. Who knew? Day of the Programmer sounds a bit like an old Hitchcock movie to me, probably featuring a pouting Richard Burton, sweating like a horse, with his shirt off. I'm not sure why. I mean, I know why he is sweating - it is probably hot - but I don't know why I think it sounds like that. But I am pretty sure that Netflix and a wife being on vacation has something to do with it.

In the real (ish) world, Day of the Programmer happens on the 256th day of the year. Obviously! So I nearly missed it because it's a leap year and it snuck up a day early. I'm not making this up. Wikipedia says it is a real thing so it must be true! It's even a holiday in Russia. But I am betting it is one of those non-holiday holidays where people say "happy holiday" and get all excited, but everyone still goes to work. Like St Patrick's anywhere in the world, except Boston.

Anyway, if you are lucky enough to get a holiday, enjoy it. I recommend a little programming for relaxation. We're programmers after all. It's what we do...
