Barc scares the kids at Maker Faire Seattle
Barc put in another public performance last week - at Maker Faire Seattle.
My friend Raul borrowed him for the day and apparently he was quite a hit. He just left Barc "off the leash" and all the kids enjoyed it as he chased them around the show. Raul mostly liked it because he did not have to do anything and was free to show people all the other demos he took (the ones that look a bit more professional than Barc!). He had a bunch of different demos at the event, including a virtual Dart Board and a smart Heart Monitor, both featuring Cypress’ game-changing PSoC MCU technology.
As my mother always tells me - "no good turn ever goes unpunished in this world" - so Raul sent him back home... along with some suggested improvements. So now I have work to do before Barc gets to go to China for the big Maker Faire Shenzen. Apparently he needs an on/off switch, an indication of when he is ready and when he has detected a hand, better access to batteries, more permanent wires to the motors, and copper wire to replace the ugly yellow wires inside his head. Well, thanks, Raul, anytime...
